Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru upgrade is a bit babyish

A drive-thru at a local Dunkin’ Donuts went through a bit of a babyish upgrade but I would love to see any of you do better.

Fast food restaurants all have to go through a bit of an upgrade at some point. Whether it is just to update the look or replace some broken old equipment, they all do it, but when a Dunkin Donut’s had to replace a broken drive-thru speaker the result ended up rather babyish, but albeit genius.

Reddit user Limit736 posted a photo of the Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru upgrade.

Instead of the usual speakers, you come across through at the drive-thru, customers found two traffic cones joined together with a baby monitor sitting inside one of the cones. The regular drive-thru speaker had broken and this was quickly whipped upgrade that the staff had put together to replace the broken speaker.

It’s a genius solution really and a pretty creative one as well, especially considering they would have found themselves in a pretty tight spot when the original speaker went down. I’ll hold my hands up and admit I probably wouldn’t have been able to create something like this; I would have probably just put up a sign saying no drive-thru available.

Hopefully, they will get a proper upgrade soon but for the moment we can enjoy the baby monitor fix that this Dunkin’ Donuts came up with.
