McDonald’s: Did you know Espresso Ice-Cream Floats are a thing?

Need some Ice-Cream? Need some Caffeine to keep you going? Then why not combine the two and order and Espresso Ice-Cream Float at McDonald’s.

McDonald’s are full of surprises right now. First, they unveiled the complete new makeover of all their stores. Then the McNugget Bucket was unveiled, and now Espresso Ice-Cream Floats are part of the menu as well.

Just like the McNugget Bucket, however, the Espresso Ice-Cream Floats are not going to be available in every single restaurant around the country. But, unlike the McNugget Bucket which is only available in Japan, a journey that is not too easy to do, the Espresso Ice-Cream Floats are available in Montreal, Canada.

It’s still a heck of a journey but certainly, a much easier, and above all cheaper one, compared to traveling to Japan.

According to MTL Blog, the Espresso Ice-Cream Floats are called the Affogato and is made with soft serve vanilla ice-cream and a shot of espresso.

What is really interesting is the alternative to your morning coffee has been kicking about for some time, it’s just not been widely known.

It’s been around on the menu since 2015 but unless you knew it was there, you were never able to order it. What the McDonald’s in Montreal is doing is making it known they do have the menu option available.

It raises the question, however, if it has always been around is it available for order in every McDonald’s store rather than just this one in Montreal? Can I go into my own local McDonald’s restaurant and ask for Espresso Ice-Cream Float or Affogato? I think this is something I am going to have gone out and test out.
