McDonald’s McNugget Bucket is not happening, food sites got it wrong

The giant 48 piece McDonald’s McNugget Bucket is not happening, several food sites, including this one, got it all wrong.

Well, this is a little bit embarrassing. Remember the McDonald’s McNugget Bucket we were talking about last week? You know, the massive 48 piece bucket of chicken nuggets that was only available in Japanese McDonald’s? Turns out that it is not happening.

Food sites, including right here at Guilty Eats, made the very awkward mistake of having a discussion about what we all thought was about to happen, only to learn that it had already happened; several years ago; and it is 100% not happening again.

It’s amazing how many people got it wrong. Not only was it us, but other major food sites reported, what is essentially Fake News. Delish, Nerdist, AOL, The Daily Meal and many, many other food sites reported about something that was not happening.

How it all went so wrong is a little unclear. Joyscribe were the very first outlet to report the McDonald’s McNugget Bucket story. There could be a many number of different reasons of how they got it wrong but that is beside the point. Because everyone else who reported the same story should have double checked that Joyscribe’s information was correct.

However, if we were to take some form of silver lining from all of this, is the story about the McNugget bucket proves that many people would like to see it introduced. The story was clearly so popular, hence why so many outlets reported the news.

So if any McDonald’s official’s are reading this, laughing at how silly I was to get this all wrong, you might want to consider looking into actually creating the McNugget Bucket. There is clearly a demand for it.
