Labor Day is almost here; tomorrow is the official day Sept 3. Of course, many of us have already gone away, or have decided to chill out at home, during the long weekend and enjoy the last few days of summer. No doubt at some point, especially if you are on your return journey home, you will want to swing into a local McDonald’s and grab a quick bite to eat. But can you? Is McDonald’s open on Labor Day 2018?

In short, yes. McDonald’s is open on Labor Day 2018.

According to Forex-Mind, who specializes in holiday store and shopping mall hours, they have the fast food giants labeled as open on Labor Day. Several other sites have reported the same, McDonald’s will be open.

However, this comes with a word of warning. While we expect McDonald’s to be open, we are only 99% sure it will be. There will be the odd branch that has closed, for one reason or another.

They may have decided to close up shop for the day, they might be undergoing some reservations or emergency works and it just so happens to have fallen on Labor Day. Basically, while we are 99% sure, there is the odd 1% chance some will be closed.

So what should you do? Well, just to be safe, you can double check the restaurant you are planning to go to is open.

You can do that by doing a quick search online, the majority of restaurants display their opening times and are usually fairly accurate whenever they close for a holiday. You can go one step further than that as well by phoning the restaurant.

All McDonald’s store has a phone number that pops up when you search for them online, so you could just quickly give that number a call as well and politely ask if they are open or not.
