Starbucks begins testing out Uber Eats delivery

Uber Eats delivery has become more and more popular amongst customers and Starbucks are the latest to jump onto the growing trend.

How we get our food and drink is changing. First, we wanted it as fast as possible. Then we were willing to wait as long as it was delivered. Now we want it fast and delivered. Uber Eats offers that service to customers by partnering up with fast food and coffee chains and Starbucks is the latest to test out the Uber Eats delivery service.

Currently, Starbucks is testing out the service in Miami in more than 100 of their locations, according to BNNBloomberg. Testing began on Wednesday, September 12. Like any test carried out by anyone, if it is successful then expect the service to be rolled out elsewhere.

This is not the first time Starbucks has looked into providing a delivery service. They tried it out in Seattle and in the Empire State Building, both have since ended. The Seattle service, which was in partnership with Postmates, has completely ended, whereas the Empire State Building project has been converted into a mobile-order-only store.

Starbucks will be hoping that the delivery service will be more successful this time around. The coffee chain has been struggling recently in performance, with many customers going elsewhere to look for much healthier drink options.

This effect in customer preferences has seen company-operated locations shut down. So, having something to bring customers back is what they are ultimately looking for.
