MasterChef Season 10 confirmed: Casting calls already begun!

MasterChef Season 10 with Gordon Ramsay is officially happening. Renewed ahead of last night’s ninth season finale, the casting calls have already started.

As many predicted, FOX isn’t done with MasterChef yet. Ahead of the finale last night, the network confirmed MasterChef Season 10 would happen. Gordon Ramsay remains part of the series, which, again, isn’t that surprising.

What does seem surprising is the news that casting calls have already begun. This suggests that the network had already confirmed the show ahead of the announcement, with enough time to put the word out to agents. Casting calls will take place throughout the rest of September, so the idea is to get the jump on filming as soon as possible.

There’s another surprise for the casting. This year, Ramsay’s own culinary team is hitting the road on the search for the next potential contestants. They’ll be Ramsay’s “eyes and ears,” according to Deadline.

That surprise is more of a pleasant one. It had to happen at some point, but it’s good to see that Ramsay does practice what he preaches. He’s recently spoken about trust is essential for a working partnership and he clearly trusts his team to work with the casting team to find the right candidates for the next competition.

Ramsay has a lot of other shows to film and produce. He’s working on Hell’s Kitchen, which returns in a little more than a week, will have a second season of 24 Hours to Hell and Back to film, and will have the MasterChef spin-off, MasterChef Junior. Oh, and we can’t forget Culinary Genius.

Don’t say this man is afraid of hard work, because that’s definitely not the case.
