All one Tim Hortons customer wanted to do was thank a person for “paying it forward,” but was slammed by Reddit users instead.

Tim Hortons isn’t the most universally liked franchise right now. While the queues (and all five in my local area) are still busy, there’s been a lot of negative press. However, rather than praising the goodness of humanity, other Reddit users took to the social media site to slam Tim Hortons for all sorts of reasons, including the bad coffee. The customer came back to explain that it really was a thank you post and they hate the coffee too. It turns out Tim Hortons is just the only place to get coffee on the way to work.

It is a shame that the thread turned into this. After all, it was a shout-out to someone doing a good thing. Surely, we should all be grateful when someone is good and make a note of the positive things that happen in the world. However, everything just has to turn negative.
