Costa Coffee may get drive-thru location in Gedling, Nottingham

Costa Coffee is a British coffee firm on the rise. Latest talks see the franchise possibly gaining a drive-thru in Gedling, Nottinghamshire.
Residents of Gedling, Nottingham may be getting a Costa Coffee drive-thru soon. The coffee shop is part of proposed plans to bring more businesses and development to the Chase Farm housing development.
Currently, the plans are in the discussion stage. The Gedling Borough Council is looking into the options to bring more jobs to the area, helping to further develop the community. Plans also include a pub, restaurant, and office space. Residents are happy with the proposed plans, especially as they would bring more jobs to the area.

If plans go ahead, the various locations could bring more than 200 jobs to the local area, according to the Nottingham Post. This figure seems based on size, as there’s no confirmation as to which chains and companies will take over once the development is finished.

However, Costa Coffee has confirmed that it would be interested in the drive-thru location. The benefit of the drive-thru is for residents on their way to work. It’s not shared how big this drive-thru would be or the number of people that would be employed.
While there are some who would like the Chase Farm housing development to remain village-like, most of the residents are excited to see more conveniences close to their homes. The area needs some development and for many, this is an exciting thing to see.
However, there are concerns that the businesses wouldn’t be successful. Other local pubs have closed down due to lack of patrons. There’s a fear that this will happen here. However, the office space and Costa Coffee locations could prove to be the most successful.
