McDonald’s is expanding its breakfast menu for the first time in five years and you can thank the “menu hackers.” Check out why the Triple Breakfast Stacks are on their way.

“Menu hackers,” as McDonald’s lovingly calls them, have proven that a new breakfast item is essential at the fast food joint. The company is now adding a new breakfast item for the first time in five years and it’s all about the meat.

The Triple Breakfast Stack is made up of two sausage patties, bacon, egg, and American cheese. Pop it on a biscuit, a McMuffin, or even a McGriddle. McDonald’s is giving you the choice. Yes, it sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen for many, but it also sounds absolutely delicious and all we care is about food tasting good.

So, why the change now? What did the “menu hackers” do? They’ve been ordering multiple items and then combining them to make their breakfast sandwiches as meaty as possible. Customers want the meat because it’s a more filling way to start the day.

The move to All Day Breakfasts may also contribute to this. People want more meat later in the day, so they’re having to combine items to meet their needs. However, in a press release from the fast food joint, it’s been all about the meaty start to the mornings.

You can get your hands on the Triple Breakfast Stack from Nov. 1. It’ll be available for a limited time only, but McDonald’s doesn’t say how limited. This is the chance to jump in there and prove it’s what you’ve wanted. The more customers they get ordering it, the more chances this will be added to the All Day Breakfast menu permanently.
