Veterans Day is a time to remember those who have sacrificed their lives during a time of war. Will McDonald’s be open on Veterans Day?

Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, a time to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Does this mean stores will be closed? Will McDonald’s be open on Veterans Day?

This isn’t a day that McDonald’s closes usually. While the employees may witness the two-minute silence at 11 a.m., the store will be open. You can head to the fast food joint after you’ve watched the Veteran’s Day parade on the morning, or even to grab a coffee or hot chocolate, before the parade to keep yourself warm.

Opening times should also remain the standard times for a Sunday (since Nov. 11, 2018, falls on a Sunday). This will differ depending on your area, but most stores are open between 6 a.m. and midnight local time.

Some stores may opt to close, but this isn’t standard practice among the franchises. If you are in doubt about your particular location, the best thing to do is call your store. However, Veterans Day isn’t a standard day for places to close so you should be good.

If the in-store location is shut, you’ll probably find that the drive-thru is open at least. Or it could be due to other locations in the area remaining open.

The only days McDonald’s tends to close are New Year’s Day and Christmas Day. Of course, this will depend on the location and the franchise owner.
