Looks like McDonald’s has their eyes set on taking on Dunkin’ with their new menu item, Donut Sticks, that is set to arrive very soon.

When Dunkin’ released Donut Fries to their menu they were an instant success. Fans went crazy for the limited time menu item. It looks as though McDonald’s took note of the wide success as they look set to introduce their very own version of Donut Fries, Donut Sticks.

Leaked internal documents sent to Business Insider shows the fast food giants plan to introduce Donut Sticks to their menu for a limited time in February. They will part of the breakfast menu, and only during breakfast hours rather than part of the all-day breakfast menu.

Specifically when in February the Donut Sticks are planning to arrive on the menu is not known. McDonald’s also declined to make a comment to Business Insider about what they had learned. They did say that 2019 would be filled with, “delicious and craveable news.” So take what you want from that.

What is known from the leaked document is the Donut Sticks will be strips of dough deep fried and sprinkled all over with cinnamon sugar. They will be sold in either a bundle of six or a dozen. The six bundles will be priced at around $1.29, and the dozen at $2.39. You can also expect a special deal of Donut Sticks and coffee.
