Gordon Ramsay is looking for new contestants for Hell’s Kitchen. So can we assume the show has been renewed and Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 is a go?
On Friday, Feb. 8, Hell’s Kitchen Season 18 aired its season finale. In a tense cook-off, our winning chef was decided and the series starring Gordon Ramsay on FOX finished for another year; prompting fans to ask the question, will there be a Hell’s Kitchen Season 19?
Unlike previous years, FOX is still to make a decision on if Hell’s Kitchen will be renewed or canceled. When looking at how the show has done in the ratings it’s difficult to tell what FOX might do.
While the show has performed poorer than the year before. It has still pulled in a steady number of viewers. When comparing how it did against its TV competition on other networks, it’s not pulled in the best numbers, that title goes to NBC’s The Blacklist, but not the worst either, The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend wins that award. But, if you compared to other shows on FOX it sits bottom of the table.
It could pretty much go either way for Hell’s Kitchen. There is plenty to say why it should be canceled, but equally why it shouldn’t.
This uncertainty hasn’t stopped Gordon Ramsay from seeking new contestants for Hell’s Kitchen Season 19 however. The celebrity chef tweeted how they are now officially casting.

Unfortunately no. While the show is looking for new contestants FOX can still pull the plug. The reason casting is open is that the series needs to get a start on things in anticipation that they will be renewed, but it in no way does it mean they will.

They could easily find all of their new chefs and then send them home because FOX decided it wasn’t worth renewing. Which would be a massive let down if you where one of the chefs but that is just how it goes.
Until FOX gives the official go-ahead we can not say with certainty if the series is coming back for another year or not.
