Chipotlanes are coming! Chipotle has plans to open drive-thru lanes in dozens of locations.
A drive-thru at Chipotle, this is what dreams are made of. Chipotle can get very busy, especially during lunch hour. Ordering online is easy, but still requires you to leave your vehicle. Hey, we’re not being lazy, sometimes we’re just too busy, in a rush, or have young children to load and unload from the car just to grab our to-go order. The perfect solution for all of this? Chipotlanes!
The drive-thru lanes already have the best name, Chipotlanes! So when and where will these drive-thru lanes open? Here’s everything we know…
Before you get too carried away with joy (though you probably already did), please note there’s a catch to using these lanes.

Earlier this month, Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol revealed that investors planned to open “a few dozen more” mobile-order pickup lanes, called “Chipotlanes,” according to Business Insider. The majority of these lanes will be added to upcoming new locations, so you may not see these at your local favorite.
And you read that correctly — mobile-order pickup lanes. You simply can’t roll up to this lane and place your order. The order needs to be locked in via the app. Once that’s done, pull up at the specified time and lane to wait for your order to be brought to you. Hey, at least you don’t need to leave your car.
This service is similar to what McDonald’s, Chili’s Grill & Bar, and other fast food locations are already doing. Are you currently using any fast food or restaurant mobile apps? What do you think of this new service Chipotle will be installing?
