Chick-fil-A fans following the popular keto diet have a reason to rejoice: The fast food restaurant joins others in adding ketogenic options to their menu!
Chick-fil-A fans who are on the keto (ketogenic) diet previously had to choose between sticking to their weight loss plans and frequenting their favorite fast food restaurant.
Not any more. Chick-fil-A just joined the growing list of fast food places catering to keto dieters. Get the skinny below.
Chick-fil-A adds keto diet options to menu
The ketogenic (keto) diet has become increasingly popular in recent years. High in fat, with moderate amounts of protein, the weight loss plan requires dieters to drastically reduce their intake of carbohydrates such as bread, potatoes, and chips, as well as even most healthy desserts.
As a result, Chick-fil-A hasn’t been an option for those on the ketogenic plan. Now, however, that’s all changed, with nine keto diet meals, according to Women’s Health.
Chick-fil-A ketogenic weight loss diet choices
All the keto diet choices include a maximum of 10 net grams of carbohydrates. Those who are on higher protein variations of the ketogenic weight loss plan can rejoice as well, with protein-packed options included.
For breakfast, for example, consider an Egg White Grill (skip the English muffin), which has 25 grams of protein, 7 grams of fat, and just 1 gram net carbohydrates.
Longing for nuggets? Dig into the Grilled Nuggets, which have 13.5 grams of fat, 2 grams of carbohydrates, and 25 grams of protein.
You can have your super-sized salad and stay on your keto diet if you order the Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken, which provides 18 grams of fat,10 grams of net carbs, and 33 grams of protein.
