Chick-fil-A fans tend to fluff their feathers at the mere notion that any other fast food restaurant could compete for the best-fried chicken. So when the chain revealed its most popular menu items, it seemed a reasonable assumption that chicken would win. Right? Get the answer below.

More interesting than who might win the Oscars to fans of Chick-Fil-A: Which menu item wins for most popular order?
The company recently dished up the details of the choices ordered most frequently by its customers, reported Inc.

And the top most frequently requested item has…no chicken. Instead, Waffle Fries win, with the simple ingredients including potatoes, canola oil and sea salt.
Second place surely contains chicken, right? Uh, that would be a no.
Instead, the company reports that soda ranks as second. Bring on the bubbly!

In addition to soda and fries on top, the top 10 most popular menu items do include chicken.

Third place honors go to chicken nuggets, which the chain created when their customers requested that their Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches were cut up so that they could them by hand.
And the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich itself ranked fourth on the list.

Other chicken winners include:
- Chick-n-Strips in eighth place
- The Chicken Biscuit in the ninth spot
- The Spicy Deluxe Sandwich took the tenth most popular menu item.
Hash browns scored on the top ten, along with lemonade and iced tea.
