Tim Hortons Rewards Program is here and this is how it works
By Callum Gunn
After a year of testing the Tim Hortons Rewards Program, it is finally here for all. Here is a look at how the rewards program works.
Everyone seems to have a rewards program right now, so it was only a matter of time until a Tim Hortons Rewards Program showed up. That time is now after the chain tested out the program for over a year. Here is how it all works.
First up, it’s not called the Tim Hortons Rewards Program, but rather Tims Rewards. And customers who join Tim Rewards are able to claim, after the seventh visit, a free coffee, tea or baked good. The number seven hasn’t been plucked out of thin air, but rather to honor the founder of Tim Hortons. His NHL jersey number was the number seven, hence the seventh visit.

In order to qualify, a minimum of 50 cents must be spent. There is a stipulation that more than one visit cannot be recorded within the same half an hour. So you need to space out those coffee runs.

Redeemable products are limited to coffee, tea or a baked good but Tim Hortons does plan to expand things in the future. When, and what they might expand to is not clear. They also plan to offer exclusive offers and discounts to rewards customers moving forward, according to the official press release.
Those interested in the Tim Hortons Rewards Program, or Tims Rewards, have the option of using the rewards card, which can be found in local stores or downloading the mobile app.
