There are reportedly several reasons for this decision, but the main one is McDonald’s is aiming to reduce the number of ingredients and products kept within their store. McDonald’s signature crafted recipes require a lot more unique and rarely used ingredients compared to their traditional menu.

Menu items that come under the signature crafted recipes menu are burgers such as the Bacon Smokehouse and Mushroom & Swiss.
