Pizza Hut’s Original Pan Pizza gets an upgrade for its 40th birthday
By Callum Gunn
The Original Pan® Pizza is turning 40 next year. Pizza Hut has decided it’s the perfect time to bring out an upgrade and you’re going to want to try it.
When it comes to pizza bases, Pizza Hut has one of the most commonly imitated ones. It’s never duplicated, though. Now it’s getting an upgrade. The Original Pan® Pizza turns 40 next year, and the upgrade is something everyone is going to want to try.
The Original Pan® Pizza certainly changed the way we ate pizza 40 years ago. That crispy outside but chewy inside makes our mouths water even today. It’s hard to think that this could be upgraded but it certainly can — although it’s taken three years to get to a point that it’s ready to be released.

There’s still going to be the crispy outside and chewy inside. The difference is the blend of cheese and sauce on top that will now complement the chewiness of the center beautifully.
Pizza Hut’s upgraded Original Pan® Pizza is now available to order. You can get it both online or in restaurants, with a large two-topping offering for $7.99 online. In-restaurant, you can find it on the Everyday Low-Price Deal mention for a limited time only.
