Rosé Wine Walk in Dallas kicks off summer with the perfect shades of pink to drink

Dallas kicked June off with a Rosé Wine Walk. As part of the walk, I had the chance to find amazing new pink wines that will be the talk of summer.

Summer may not begin until June 21, but for many of us the start of June is the unofficial start of the season. And on June 1, Dallas’ Lowest Greenville neighborhood and Dallasites 101 hosted their third Rosé Wine Walk, sponsored by Alexan Lower Greenville. (They even gave out glasses perfect for those summer sips too, with their pink font and smaller size.)

This wine walk was a chance to not only stop into a number of the shops, bars, and restaurants in the neighborhood, but it was also an opportunity to find new rosés to make your summer a hit.

With 13 official crawl stops and four partners, there was a lot to see, do, and taste on this walk. However, there were definite stars of the show (or the walk as it were).

Perhaps what made this walk so much fun was finding new places to haunt when you’re looking to grab a drink or a snack any day of the week. But the real star was the rosé wine, which is always Instagram and summer worthy.

One of the standout offerings had to be the Austin Eastciders Dry Rosé Cider. If you love hard ciders and rosé wine, then this is a must try. With a hint of apple and a crisp finish, this is a summer must-have. Whether it is the floral notes that you can both smell and taste, or the fruity essence, this is the kind of rosé cider that you will want to try, and then keep snagging for your summer fun. And it helps that the can is nice enough for those Snaps and Instagram posts.

Another amazing find came courtesy of the Laurel Tavern and the Fabre en Provence Rosé, which was an exceptional glass of wine. Not only is this a classic bottle of rosé wine, but it offers a sip that is fruity, crisp, and well-balanced. As far as lovely glasses of pink, this is a true winner for so many reasons, including how well it pairs with food. (The fact that it is a lovely bottle and affordable also helps.)

The Babe Rose Bubbles was another canned rosé wine that ended up being a fun find that is going to be perfect for all those summer cookouts. Not only is this a bubbly and crisp option, but it has the perfect hint of sweetness. Just like a standard glass of wine, this is another perfect food pairing, with BBQ being the ideal choice for indulging with.

Considering how many stops were on this wine walk, there were certainly a lot of tastings and options, but these three were definite favorites. In fact, these may now be my summer go-to drinks when it comes to sitting by the pool and relaxing on a sunny day.

When it comes to finding the perfect summer drink, you can never go wrong with a rosé, and with these three picks you may just expand your drinking horizons by the pool or at the beach (or anywhere really).
