O’Doul’s fans, there are some new cans in town (or select cities really), and they are truly pieces of art thanks to some very special designers.

If you are a fan of O’Doul’s non-alcoholic beer, then you may remember that in the fall of 2018, the company introduced a limited edition redesign of their iconic cans. And now they are doing it again, this time with special cans designed for three different cities.

Just in time for June 21, the longest day of the year, O’Doul’s is giving us three artistic cans inspired by New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Each can was designed by an artist in their respective cities, each with a unique sense of style and history.

For New York City, O’Doul’s turned to Mr Kiji, a graphic designer who actually worked on last year’s redesign. With bold colors and a design that pops, this can is one that embodies what makes NYC energetic and diverse.

The Los Angeles can was designed by John Lee, an illustrator with a strong style profile that is able to capture the essence of street art. His bar scene art work truly embodies what life in L.A. is all about.

And the final can is all about Chicago, as designed by Brandon Breaux. Breaux is an illustrator who has worked with Chance the Rapper before. For his O’Doul’s can, it is all about simpler designs and shapes, which pop off the can.

The goal of this O’Doul’s can redesign is to get people talking, while also inspiring people to reach for a non-alcoholic beer this summer. And considering how lovely and artistic each of these cans are, these are going to be perfect for those poolside Instagram and Snapchat posts.

More from Drinks

Not only are these limited edition cans a chance to re-inspire long time consumers, but also a way to bring in new people interested in finding a new drink to enjoy this summer.

As the vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility at Anheuser-Busch, Adam Warrington, explained, “We’re proud to extend our reach and celebrate art and design in a way that represents the unique perspective of each of our artists– taking cues from the distinct visuals and essence of cities that they reside in — while still laddering up to the O’Doul’s brand equity.”

Essentially this redesign is as much about giving consumers in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles gorgeous cans to drink out of for summer as it is inspiring new customers to try O’Doul’s. And with art work like this, you won’t care that this is a non-alcoholic beer, because the cans are too pretty to put down.

Now, if you live in one of the cities represented by this redesign, you may be wondering where you can snag one of these pieces of art. Have no fear as we have you covered.

In NYC, select bars will feature the redesigned cans as of June 21. In Chicago, you will need to head to Wrigley Field for the Cubs versus the Mets game. Finally, Los Angeles consumers will want to be at Dodgers Stadium for the Dodgers versus Rockies game.

Yes, this means if you want a chance to jazz up your Instagram with these gorgeous cans you’ll need to be in these locations on June 21 or you may miss out.
