National Ice Cream Sandwich Day: Try this DIY treat from Sugar Bowl Bakery

Happy National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! I don’t need to tell you that the best way to celebrate is by munching on an ice cream sandwich, and Sugar Bowl Bakery shared a pretty sweet DIY treat!

This isn’t the first time I work with Sugar Bowl Bakery to share with you some of their sweetest delights! The Duet Bites are still some of my favorite pastries. For National Ice Cream Sandwich Day, they reached out to share a cool (and delicious DIY snack). How does make your own ice cream sandwich using their Madeleine cookies sound?

This treat is delicious on its own and will make you immediately crave your favorite cup of coffee to go along with it. But hey, it’s the summer, we really aren’t wanting to feel even hotter — we need a refreshing snack!

Using two of Sugar Bowl Bakery’s Madeleine cookies to hug your favorite ice cream flavor (don’t forget the sprinkles!) is a must! This is the idea they shared and I happily recreated it. The result? Deliciousness.

These are perfect to celebrate today or enjoy any other time you’re in the mood for a tasty and cold snack! And when winter rolls around, have these alone with a warm coffee! And parents: Your kiddos will love creating their own ice cream sandwiches with these. Sure, it’ll be messy, but so fun!

Be sure to also check out their Duet Bites, bite-size treats that are half brownie and half madeleine — 130 calories each.

Where can you find Sugar Bowl Bakery products? At your local massive retailer! I’ve spotted them the most at Kroger stores, but Walmart carries these as well. Enjoy!
