KFC celebrity Colonel: Sean Astin is the latest for the NFL 2019 season

KFC debuted its new commercials in line with the NFL 2019 season. Sean Astin is the latest celebrity Colonel.
KFC is having fun with its celebrity Colonels. To kick off the NFL 2019 season, a new celebrity Colonel is in town. Say hello to Sean Astin, who is known as Colonel Rudy within the commercials.
The first commercial took place yesterday to mark the return of the NFL 2019 schedule. Colonel Rudy (because Astin is known for the 1993 classic sports movie, Rudy) made his debut in the commercial dubbed Rudy II.

We do have to admit that the commercial would make an excellent feel-good movie. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t be Colonel Sanders.

But there’s more to the update than just the new commercials to introduce Colonel Rudy. KFC also has a new offer that will start from Monday, Sept. 9. For a limited time, you’ll be able to get a free chocolate cake when you get a 10-piece meal from participating restaurants. You know the chocolate cake, with all that vanilla icing drizzled over the top. You know you can’t say no.
