Coffee is a big business and so are alcoholic beverages. And when you combine the two, you get the best of both worlds, like Blue Moon hopes to do with their new Iced Coffee Blonde beer.

There are some beverages that we simply can’t resist. And with the popularity of drinks like coffee and beer, it probably comes as no surprise that some companies are capitalizing on our appreciation for these two beverages. Which brings us to Blue Moon, known for their Belgian White, who has decided to combine the best of both worlds for their new Iced Coffee Blonde beer.

According to Food & Wine, unlike a hard coffee beverage, the new Blue Moon Iced Coffee Blonde beer is a blonde wheat ale that is infused with both honey and freshly brewed coffee beans. Talk about making a beer that caters to coffee lovers.

For fans of coffee and Blue Moon beers, this new offering will be available starting this month in what the company calls share packs, which means you can give this a try early. However, if you want to wait for the new beer to be on its own, then you will be able to head to stores and snag six packs of the brew starting in November.

More from Drinks

If you have ever been to the Blue Moon brewery in Denver, Colorado, then you may already be familiar with this particular beer, as they have had this one on tap for the last two years. Thanks to its popularity and the fact that it actually has no caffeine (the roasters they work with opted for decaf coffee beans for this project), it makes sense that it would finally be offered to a larger audience.

Beer and coffee have been a thing for quite some time now, although they are typically reserved for the darker brews. But, with the growing popularity of lighter ales, and Blue Moon’s own success with their wheat based brews, it was only a matter of time before the challenge of incorporating coffee into a pale beer would be accepted. And luckily for fans of the brewery and their delicious wheat beers, we finally have the chance to indulge in this marriage of our favorite drinks.

This new Iced Coffee Blonde might not give you the zip of caffeine, like other brands cashing in on the hard coffee scene, but at least we know that we can count on Blue Moon for creating amazing flavor profiles. And really, isn’t it all about the way it tastes anyway?
