We all know the struggle of sharing an order of hot and fresh McDonald’s French fries. And it seems that the fast food understands too.

There are times when you and your friends might want to share an order of French fries from McDonald’s. And while you could always order a large or even a few orders of fries, this never seems like the best option, especially if this means sticking your hand down into the cardboard holder that everyone else is sticking their hand into.

According to Delish, it seems like McDonald’s understands our sharing dilemma. In an effort to combat this problem, the fast food chain has rolled out baskets of French fries at select locations in three states. Of course, if you don’t live in these areas you will still have to figure out the problem of sharing your fries, but if the basket does well, perhaps it will be offered in more locations.

While we don’t have a lot of information about these new baskets of fries, Chew Boom is reporting that they cost $3 per order and contain as many fries as you would get in two Medium orders. The basket of fries order comes in a striped wrapper (much like the inside of a standard French fry container has) and then it is inside an open-faced cardboard box.

One consumer did a review of the French fry basket and shared that if you are ordering in the drive-thru, you do have to specify you want your fries in the basket, because otherwise they just put them in a bag. And considering this order is all about the presentation, it makes sense that you would want to make sure you are actually getting the “basket of fries.”

Considering McDonald’s has released their basket of fries in the past, it is entirely possible that more locations could get lucky when it comes to having these on the menu. But even if it doesn’t expand outside of the current locations in Nashville, TN, Chattanooga, TN, Huntsville, AL, and Bowling Green, KY, at least we know that some people are being gifted with the ability to share their fries with ease.
