The end of 2019 has been truly an era of Star Wars with Baby Yoda and the final chapter in the decades long saga arriving. And now it’s time for a snack.

Thanks to The Mandalorian introducing us to Baby Yoda and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiering in theaters in December, 2019 has ended with an entertainment bang. It also means that there is a lot of merchandise surrounding these productions.

And of the things that has arrived in stores is something that ice cream lovers can definitely sink their teeth into with joy. Thanks to Instagram foodies like markie-devo and SnackGator, we know that there are currently boxes of Star Wars ice cream sandwiches in a galaxy near to us (forget this far, far away bit).

Not only have these been spotted in stores like Stop and Shop and Kroger, but they have also been seen Wal-Mart (which doesn’t surprise us at all). And honestly, this might just be the best way to binge watch the first season of The Mandalorian or do a movie marathon of all the Star Wars movies leading up to The Rise of Skywalker.

Seriously, these might just be vanilla sandwiches, but it’s ice cream and it’s shaped like the Millennium Falcon. So that’s really a win-win in the snacking world. As an added bonus, it seems that the ice cream used in the sandwiches is from Edy’s/Dreyer’s, so if you like their vanilla, this is definitely the treat for you.

Obviously prices will vary based on location, but according to SnackGator, they saw a box for $5.99, so that’s the price we are expecting to see when we head to a store near us to find these icy treats for ourselves.

Remember that these are a limited edition release, so they likely won’t be available for long. So if you really want to indulge in an ice cream sandwich inspired by Star Wars, now is definitely the time to be on the lookout.

Are you excited to see Star Wars ice cream sandwiches have hit store shelves? Will you be buying a box for yourself? Tell us what you think in the comments.
