Looking for more food to order online amid the coronavirus outbreak? Here are 10 food items you can still order online to keep you happy, healthy and hydrated.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, millions upon millions of people — if not billions of people — are currently quarantined with lots of uncertainty going around. But everyone needs to eat, and many online retailers (Amazon included) are still shipping food orders, which food items are still available?

Below are 10 food items that are still available for order and likely to keep you happy, healthy and/or hydrated.

Big Sandy Organics

Perfectly nutty, addictively-crunchy, and naturally-nutritious, Big Sandy Organics’ Kracklin’ KAMUT’s grains are always organic, never genetically-modified. Its khorasan wheat is renowned for its giant kernels, which are packed with protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. In turn, not only does it deliver the perfect snack food crunch, it also satisfies your need for wholesome whole grains that fuel your work and/or play.

Each batch of Krack is carefully-grown, hand-roasted, and seasoned to perfection on Big Sandy Organics’ Montana farm and processing facility. An excellent source of protein, fiber, zinc, magnesium, vitamin B1, and vitamin B3. Currently available in two flavors, Sea Salt and Churro, and available via Amazon.

Veestro

With all the grocery stores running out of food, why not try ordering some pre-cooked meals straight to your doorstep while you’re stuck at home? Veestro is a meal delivery service that makes it easy to get more plant-based foods into your diet without sacrificing taste or convenience. No chopping, no cooking and no cleanup needed — simply heat up in an oven or microwave.

Veestro’s meals are delicious, organic and healthy, and its meals are 100 percent plant-based with fresh ingredients. Choose from different flexible meal plans and dietary preferences including gluten-free offering. The meals are prepared fresh yet shipped frozen which allows you to eat them within 8 to 10 weeks. The Thai Chick’n Stew and Country Fried Chick’n were my favorites.

Kevin’s Natural Foods

Kevin’s Natural Foods is named for after Kevin McCray, who recently spoke with me on behalf of Guilty Eats. McCray was an active, health-conscious college student when he was hit with an auto-immune disorder that changed his life forever. Frustrated and defeated by those hospital stays, McCray read up on the effectiveness of a paleo-friendly diet with regard to reducing symptoms of autoimmune disorders. This led to long-term success with his health and well-being.

McCray’s hospitalization and subsequent recovery also led to the founding of Kevin’s Natural Foods, which makes excellent paleo and keto-certified “Heat & Eat”-style entrees, simmer sauces and seasonings. The entrees themselves currently come in 8 different flavors — including Cilantro Lime Chicken and Beef Chili — and are gluten-free. My favorite from the Stockton, California-based company was the Korean-Style BBQ Chicken.

Parks & Nash

Simply put, Parks & Nash makes nutrient-dense bone broth instant soups. These protein-packed, all-natural soups showcase the convenience of instant soup, as coupled with the health of a home-cooked meal. Known to decrease inflammation, boost immunity and improve gut health, sleep and energy, bone broth soups are now also easy to pack up and carry elsewhere; just simply add water to enjoy anywhere.

An ideal post-workout snack or mini-meal, Parks & Nash soups are currently available in 5 hearty flavors, including Coconut Thai, Tuscan Vegetable and Spicy Chili. Regardless of the flavor, each of these chef-crafted soups are free of gluten, dairy, gums and added sugars. My favorite of the batch is the Tuscan Vegetable.

Quevos

Quevos are high-protein, low-carb, gluten-free chips made from egg whites that provide the nutrition of an omelette on the go. They are available in 5 flavors: Cheddar, Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper, Sweet BBQ, Quevos Rancheros, and Sour Cream & Onion. With the founder of Skinny Pop as their mentor, founders (and childhood friends Nick Hamburger and Zack Shreier) dropped out of college to pursue what some have called “the Halo Top of chips.”

Interestingly, the roots of Quevos back to early childhood as Shreier has been a type 1 diabetic since age 11. Egg whites are one of his most frequent meal choices, since their lack of carbs help him avoid an insulin shot, and his favorite part of the meal has always been the egg white crisps on the side of the pan. One day, he called his Hamburger to rave about his creation, and nowadays, the two are on a mission to take Quevos from coast to coast.

Safe Catch’s Safe Harvest

Safe Catch is known for its fresh and delicious seafood, and the company is known to check each piece of seafood used in its Safe Harvest soups for mercury. In turn, its Safe Harvest soups are healthy soups that feature clean ingredients. They are currently available in 4 flavors: Chicken Oodle, Clam Chowder, Salmon Chowder, and Shrimp Bisque.

Interestingly, the chowder and bisque offerings are all dairy-free, while the Chicken Oodle soup is grain-free and gluten-free. All 4 soups are also Whole 30-ready.

RightRice

Billed as “veggies in the rice aisle,” RightRice is a gluten-free alternative to traditional grains. Instead, RightRice is a tasty, dry, shelf-stable grain that is packed with the power of nutritious vegetables, giving you more plant-based protein and fiber and a lot fewer carbs. Every bowl of RightRice is made from lentils, chickpeas, peas and rice, yet almost 40 percent fewer net carbs than a bowl of white rice.

RightRice also makes bagged “medley” products, should you be seeking more of a meal. These current offerings include Fried Rice, Harvest Pilaf, and Cajun Spice offerings.

UNiTE Foods

Based in Southern California, UNiTE is the world’s first globally-inspired protein bar. The company launched with 3 fun flavors, each made with wholesome, nutritious, real food ingredients and packed with nut butters, hemp seeds, and prebiotic fiber. Those are Churro (a sweet mix of crunchy almonds, vanilla, and toffee bits dusted with cinnamon), Mexican Hot Chocolate (a dark chocolate base with hints of cinnamon and warm chili), and PB & Jelly (creamy peanut butter peppered with sweet strawberry jammy bits).

Each of the bars offer 10 grams of protein, while UNiTE bars are also gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Thus, nutritious and delicious — my favorite of the 3 is the PB & Jelly.

Frönen

Frönen is a dairy-free “nice cream” brand which aims to be heavy on flavor and light on guilt. With only 6 ingredients or fewer in each pint, Frönen recently introduced 2 new flavors to the market: Mint Chip and Peanut Butter Fudge.

Free of dairy, refined sugar, gluten, gums and soy, Frönen’s pints are paleo-friendly yet creamy. Mint Chip, for example, combines peppermint and spearmint to create a mint-to-be indulgence. Also popular is its Peanut Butter Fudge, a fun mixture of smooth peanut butter with honey and a touch of pink Himalayan salt.

I have not yet tried the Banana Coconut, Cinnamon, Chocolate, Strawberry and Madagascar Vanilla offerings of Frönen, but they are reportedly all 100 calories or less per serving.

ONE PLANT

Speaking of peanut related-greatness, ONE Brands has excellent plant-based protein bars on market under the ONE PLANT moniker. These bars bring superior taste and texture into plant-based snacking.

As made with high-quality ingredients, each ONE PLANT bar provides 12 grams of plant protein and only 1 gram of sugar. The plant line features Banana Nut Bread, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Churro and Carrot Cake flavors.

Plant-based bars aside, ONE has a Chocolate Lovers Variety Pack available online, which includes the pun-oriented That’s What Cup (think Reese’s) and Tough Cookies Only (think chocolate chip cookies) flavors. Something for everyone, no?
