Banza Rice makes cooking and eating rice so much more enjoyable! Read our full review, below.

Banza is a company known for its chickpea-based pasta. Since launching in 2014, Banza has been dedicated to making nutritious food for families (without sacrificing flavor). Their latest product launch is Banza Rice, rice made from chickpeas that are truly packed with flavor.

What makes Banza Rice different from regular rice is, well, just about everything! Though it may look like your average bowl of rice, Banza Rice is protein-packed and offers 35% fewer net carbs and 5x the fiber.

It’s a side dish, sure, but it’s definitely the main event! And if you already enjoy rice on its own, these may be your new favorite.

Banza Rice currently offers these three flavors: Ginger Scallion, Garlic Olive Oil, and Chipotle Tomato. The company shipped all three flavors my way and I was quick to get started! I’ll share my experience and first impressions below!

Ranking the flavors of Banza Rice

First, the one that called out to me the most was the Chipotle Tomato, because who doesn’t love this bold flavor? Does it look like rice and feel like rice? Double yes! In fact, it looks even better than your average rice, it hints how much flavor you’re in for.

Chipotle Tomato is my favorite from the three, it’s just so tasty and can very well be its own meal! Best of all, I found that these are all easy and quick to make. So if you are a newbie in the kitchen or simply don’t enjoy spending too much time cooking, these are perfect!

Next up I tried Garlic Olive Oil. I have to be honest here, I found the garlic taste too overpowering. The strong taste made this rice difficult to enjoy. I’m ranking this as my least favorite from the three.

Finally, the Ginger Scallion was saved for last! Very tasty and the perfect side if you want it to match your meal and not stand out as much as the Chipotle Tomato does.

Next. Dairy Queen Blizzard of the Month: Nestle Drumstick. dark

Want to try all three? You may enjoy Garlic Olive Oil more than I did! Banza Rice has a Variety Pack that includes 6 bags of rice: 1 Original, 1 Garlic Olive Oil, 2 Chipotle Tomato, 2 Ginger Scallion. It’s the one we most recommend so you can sample all flavors.
