Walmart brings us delicious loaf cake slices as a sweet treat

Is there anything better than a cup of coffee and a slice of loaf cake? Considering I am a big fan of this combination when I go to Starbucks, there is no way I was going to pass up giving Walmart’s loaf cake slices a taste. And let me tell you, I am so glad I tried these cakes!

In a press release from Walmart, we learned that they were introducing a new line of loaf cake slices as part of their Marketside line of offerings. And as an added bonus, these slices are just $1 each, which feels like a steal!

If you have been missing out on your slice of cake and a latte or macchiato, then you really need to give these cake slices a try for yourself. Every bite is perfectly moist and flavorful, and acts as a delicious snack, dessert, or even early morning treat.

Walmart delivers decadent desserts with these loaf cake slices

There are three flavors that have been released, the Iced Marble, the Iced Lemon, and the Banana Nut. And while there are usually favorites when it comes to which cake you reach for first, I admit that all three of these cake slices were delicious in their own way.

Up first, we have to talk about the Iced Lemon Cake. This was a slice of heaven for me, as the icing was the perfect hint of sweetness to go along with the lemon. And of course the fact that every bite delivered the vibrant punch of citrusy goodness made this a decadent delight all around.

Then there is the Banana Nut Cake, which is essentially a slice of banana nut bread, which has definitely been the flavor of the year. Honestly, I love the fact that the nut part of this bread is primarily on top like a layer of icing, which is great if you are not a fan of nuts in your loaf cake. And yes, it really does deliver with the flavors as well.

Finally there is the Iced Marble Cake, which is another win. While this is not a flavor I usually snag to drink with my coffee or tea, I may have to change that after giving this slice from Walmart a try. Once again, the icing is perfect and adds just the right amount of extra sweetness to make this cake feel like a decadent dessert.

All three of these cake slices are delicious and worth picking up. And the fact that they are just $1 each makes them an affordable option if you’re looking to enjoy a pick-me-up or a late night snack.
