Ina Garten having virtual book tour for new cookbook
Ina Garten is going on virtual book tour with her latest cookbook
Ina Garten is back with a new cookbook! Who doesn’t love the self-proclaimed Barefoot Contessa and all her delicious food? Her newest cookbook, Modern Comfort Food, comes out on Oct 6. But while she’d normally go on a book tour, that’s not really possible with the pandemic going on. So, Ina is doing a virtual book tour.
Her latest book tour will be in partnership with Williams Sonoma, will be completely virtual and have celebrities joining the party as well. How do you get in on this book tour? You can buy tickets through Williams Sonoma’s website right now.

There are currently two dates: Tuesday, Oct 20, and Tuesday, Nov 17. The Oct 20 date will feature Ina and Jennifer Garner and start at 6:30 p.m. PST. The Nov 17 date will feature Ina having a conversation with Katie Couric and start at 6:30 p.m. EST.

While there were autographed books you could buy with your book tour ticket, those are already sold out. But don’t worry, the spots for the book tour are still available.
You can still get tickets for either day with a non-autographed book, which features 85 new recipes, for $35, or a non-autographed book with a spatula for $49.95. The spatula is white with “It’s time for a party!” written on it in red ink with Ina’s signature.
Proceeds from the purchase of the spatula go to No Kid Hungry. Additionally, if you only want to preorder the cookbook without attending the book tour, you can do that for $35 (or you can buy it on Amazon for only $24.99 if Williams Sonoma’s price isn’t in your budget right now)
Once you order a book from Williams Sonoma, you immediately receive an index of Ina’s recipes from her last 12 books. The price is worth it for that alone!
The book tour takes place over Zoom and once you buy tickets, the Zoom link is emailed to you the day before the scheduled date.
This is the perfect book tour for introverts. You just have to crash on your couch and watch Ina and a celebrity talk about food. No pressure to interact with others or even go out in public. It’s a win for everyone!
