If you are a regular around these parts, then you already know everyone here at Guilty Eats loves Aldi. It seems like every time we turn around there is some new, off beat item they have just gotten in that we just can’t wait to get our hands on.

Seriously. Remember their pumpkin-shaped pizzas? We rest our case.

However, part of the problem is that the German-based supermarket chain is still only known to certain parts of the country. Aldi is still very much an unknown quantity to many people and to others they may just be known as that store that sells brands no one has heard of.

Anyway, it looks like that by the end of 2021 that will be changing as Aldi has announced plans to expand their footprint by almost 100 stores by the end of the year. In addition, they plan to greatly expand their successful curbside pickup option.

Aldi is on course to become the No. 3 grocery store chain by the end of 2022

As reported by All Recipes, Aldi has announced that they plan to open 100 new supermarkets by the end of 2021. While they haven’t revealed where those new locations will be, we can all assume that at least a sizable chunk will be in the United States. It is confirmed that at least a few of the new stores will be in the Northeast as well as Florida and California.

In addition, Aldi has also announced that their curbside pickup service, which they launched last year in response to the pandemic, will be growing as well. An additional 500 Aldi locations will be adding curbside pickup by the end of the year, which will bring the total to over 1000.

So get your Instagram account ready. Because odds are an Aldi is coming to your neighborhood sooner rather than later.

Next. It costs how much to eat at Hell’s Kitchen?!?. dark
