Krispy Kreme to release Mars Doughnut for one day only

This week was a big one if you’re into space exploration and all things that aren’t Earth. NASA‘s Perseverance Rover landed safely on Mars and will give humanity a real chance to explore the Red Planet in depth. And apparently, the folks at Krispy Kreme fall into the category of exploration.
The space cadets at Chewboom are reporting that in celebration of the successful landing, Krispy Kreme will be releasing a very special Mars Doughnut for just a single day.
The Mars Doughnut is a doughnut filled with that wonderful Chocolate Kreme that is then dipped in caramel icing and finished with a red swirl and sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumbs. The whole thing is intended to look like the Red Planet and honestly, they do a pretty good job.
The catch is that this special doughnut will only be available for one day, on February 18. That’s it. Once the day is over, the sun sets on the commemorative Mars Doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme will be giving away millions of Mars Doughnuts.

In addition, if you took part in NASA’s “Send your name to Mars” promotion and have your special NASA issued Mars 2020 Perseverance Boarding Pass, you are eligible to get your Mars Doughnut for free.
That could be as many as 11 million people who could get a free doughnut on February 18. That, Guilty Eaters, is a whole heck of a lot of doughnuts.
Regardless, make sure you head to Krispy Kreme to get your Mars Doughnut while you can. It may be a while till we see them again and they sound out of this world. (You knew that joke was coming, didn’t you?)
