Pizza Hut Japan is introducing the Decathlon Pizza
By D. Goodman
Everyone loves a good meat lovers pizza, right? Unless you’re a vegan or something silly like that, a meat lovers pizza is one of the best things you can find in front of you. Bacon, pepperoni, sausage, it’s doesn’t get much better. Unless you happen to be at a Pizza Hut in Japan.
As we all know, in Japan everything is taken up a notch. And that includes the items at their fast food restaurants. Everyone remembers the Tokyo Teriyaki Tower Burger right? As it turns out that extreme mentality also applies to their pizza, in particular the pies from Pizza Hut.
In honor of the Olympics currently taking place in Tokyo, Pizza Hut Japan took the idea of the meat lovers pizza and went a bit crazy. Like, how much meat can you really fit on a pizza kind of crazy.
According to the extreme folks at Chewboom, Pizza Hut has announced the arrival of the Decathlon Pizza. And if you are familiar with the sport, you can probably see where this is going. Let’s just say that the fact they’re calling it the “King of meat-based pizza” has real merit.
The Pizza Hut Decathlon Pizza has more meat than you could possibly imagine

The Decathlon Pizza comes topped with a whopping 10 different kinds of meat. Yes, you read that correctly. That’s 10 as in a one followed by a zero. And three of them are just bacon!
The pizza includes (deep breath) bacon, Iberico think-sliced bacon, aged bacon, beef bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, charcoal-grilled beef ribs, pulled pork, pepperoni, Italian sausage and rough sliced sausage. Honestly I’m not even 100 percent sure what some of those are.
However, any pizza that comes with three different kinds of bacon definitely deserves a chance, wouldn’t you agree?
Unfortunately, the Decathlon Pizza is only available in Japan and only during the Olympics. So unless you plan to jump on a plane and soon, you pizza lovers in the rest of the world are out of luck. But we can always hope maybe it’ll become available elsewhere. I mean, three kinds of bacon!
