The calendar turning from July to August means a lot of different things to different people. For some it means the dog days of summer have arrived. For others thoughts turn to back to school shopping. For Dairy Queen fans it means just one thing and one thing only.

A new Blizzard of the Month is about to be revealed.

During July ice cream fans seemed to enjoy the heck out of the Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Blizzard. Of course, it combined ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. There is literally nothing to not like in a Blizzard that includes those two things as primary ingredients.

So for August, Dairy Queen really has to go the extra mile to impress people. And according to the press email we received from the ice cream makers, they may have just pulled it off by bringing back a fan favorite and going a bit … extreme.

The Reese’s Extreme Blizzard is your Dairy Queen Blizzard of the Month.

That’s right folks. For August Dairy Queen is bringing back the Reese’s Extreme Blizzard in all it’s glory. This will be the first time people have been able to have one since April of 2017 when it was last available so get ready for ice cream greatness.

If you missed it the first time the Reese’s Extreme Blizzard includes vanilla soft serve ice cream blended with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces all crowned with peanut butter and chocolate topping.

Right about now I’m so ridiculously happy I don’t have a peanut allergy.

As with all the Dairy Queen Blizzards of the Month, this one will only be available during August and when it’s gone, that’s it. So get to a Dairy Queen and take it to the extreme before the summer is over and all things turn to … shudder … pumpkin spice.
