Ikea releasing limited-edition meatball candle
With the way lots of food brands are coming out with merch and swag, it’s not that surprising that now IKEA is getting in on the trend. Starting Friday, Aug 6, they are giving people the chance to get a candle that apparently smells just like their famous Swedish meatballs.
While normally, I would think this is a ridiculous idea and who wants a candle that smells like Swedish meatballs, because this is a very limited chance, I am shockingly okay with it.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ikea’s Family Program, Ikea collaborated with the creative agency, Ogilvy, to come out with a limited-edition Huvudroll candle.
And according to Ikea, it’s not just supposed to make your house smell like meatballs, it’s supposed to remind you of how much you love visiting their store.
Ikea giving customers chance to win Swedish meatball candle
I don’t know about y’all, but for me, being in Ikea is a stressful experience. It’s hard to find things, it’s impossible to find the exit, and making a decision on what to get and what to leave behind is next to impossible. I don’t know if people want to be reminded of that.
But if you do happen to want one of these unique candles, you have a little over two weeks to get one. Ikea made 1,925 of these candles and anyone who wants the chance to win one must enter the Ikea 10th Anniversary Sweepstakes.
Those who win will get a Store in a Box which includes the meatball-scented candle and other items that have yet to be announced. You have from Aug 6 -22 and you need an Ikea Family account to enter.
With the reveal of the candle, it will be interesting to see what else these boxes have in them. It can’t get any weirder than a meatball candle, right? Perhaps if this is popular enough, they’ll end up selling the candle in their stores for everyone to buy.
