The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook is on the way

Launched in 2010 and then again in 2013, Final Fantasy XIV Online is a massive online roleplaying game that has been thrilling fans for more then a decade. The game is set in a vaguely fantasy setting and lets you create and become a character that you guide through adventures and watch as they grow more and more powerful.

As the name clearly implies Final Fantasy XIV Online is the 14th in the long running Final Fantasy series. Just mentioning the name Final Fantasy is usually enough to send many gamers into a tizzy as they try to explain which is their favorite and why you should play it.

Which is fine if you are a fellow gamer, but if you are a foodie it probably won’t have the same effect. And while that may be true enough, a new book is on the way that may blend the two fandoms in ways no one might expect.

Coming this November is The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook. You will now be able to prepare any of the many culinary delights from the world of Hydaelyn, the fictional world where the game takes place. And no, I’m not making this up.

The Ultimate Final Fantasy Cookbook arrives just in time for the holidays.

According to Bleeding Cool, the book will be written by Victoria Rosenthal and be published by Insight Editions. It will be 192 pages long and will give you all the information you need to make such dishes as the Farmer’s Breakfast, Knight’s Bread of Coerthas and a La Noscea’s Rolanberry Cheesecake.

And no, I have no clue what any of those are so don’t ask.

The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook will include a forward by Naoki Yoshida who is the director and producer of the game and be available in two editions. A regular edition will be available where you buy your cookbooks while a version with an exclusive cover will only be available at Gamestop. No matter which one you choose the book will set you back $35.

As mentioned above, The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook will be released on November 9, just in time to use for Thanksgiving and to be the perfect gift for that foodie or gamer in your life. And even if you’re not a gamer, preparing something from this book is sure to impress the heck out of your friends.
