Lay’s is taking the next step in their evolution. From delicious (and classic) potato chips to a limited edition vodka, Lay’s is ready for the holidays.

That’s right Guilty Eaters, for the 2021 holidays, Lay’s is getting into the spirit (all puns intended) of the season in an even bigger way than normal. Introducing the very first Lay’s Vodka, created in partnership with Eastside Distilling. And according to the press email we received, if you want to get your hands on a bottle of this limited edition vodka, now is your chance!

Starting on December 16, fans of Lay’s potato chips who want to give this fascinating take on their chips a try can head on over to the Lay’s Potato Vodka page and place an order for a bottle all for themselves.

Lay’s gets into the distillery game with the help of Eastside Distilling to release a vodka of their own

And while we will never say no to a classic bag of Lay’s Potato Chips, this is a whole new ball game. This is what we like to think of as the magic of the Guilty Eats. It’s taking a food we love to snack on and elevating to a whole new level. Bring on the vodka.

So what can we expect from the Lay’s Potato Vodka? According to our press email, “Lay’s Vodka was carefully crafted from a blend of Portland Potato Vodka and vodka distilled from Lay’s proprietary potatoes for a crisp, clean finish.”

Sounds like a classic vodka to us. But this time with a fun twist that we can’t resist.

The big question we have is how much will a bottle of this magic cost us. And the answer to that is $40.

If you want to get your very own bottle of potato chip inspired vodka (technically), then you’ll need to drop $40, not including any taxes and shipping fees. But hurry, because we don’t know how long this will take to sell out!

So what do you say my snacking friends? Are we stocking up on a whole new take on vodka this holiday season? Are you surprised by the fact that this is a thing now? We want to know what you think about this.
