The holidays are upon us and that means that for some of us, we are looking for quick and easy meals. And that’s where McDonald’s comes into the picture.

Whether it’s because we want to start the holiday with a breakfast of Egg McMuffins and Hash Browns, or we want to enjoy a Big Mac and Fries for lunch, sometimes you just want to hit up McDonald’s for a quick and easy meal. And it really doesn’t matter if it is a holiday or not. When we want the salty deliciousness of fresh French Fries or the eggy goodness of an Egg McMuffin, we know what we want and where we want to go.

Now that we have made ourselves hungry, we really want to know whether or not we can enjoy this fast food goodness on Christmas Day. So can we get McDonald’s on Christmas Day?

Will McDonald’s be open on Christmas Day 2021?

According to Delish, the answer is complicated. Technically, the answer is yes, there will be locations that are open on Christmas Day. However, just because some locations will be open, that doesn’t mean that all of them will be.

The reason for that is because according to McDonald’s themselves, 95 percent of their locations are franchises, which means that they have flexibility when it comes to their holiday hours.

I know that locations near us are a mixed bag when it comes to their holiday hours, with a few locations being open on Christmas Day, but with reduced hours, while others will be closed. And this is something we have seen across the country, with some locations being open and others staying closed, whether to allow their employees a chance to enjoy the holiday themselves or because of a staffing shortage.

Whatever the reason, we definitely recommend calling ahead or even checking the McDonald’s app, as it will definitely be your best guide to which locations are open and which are closed.
