If you have ever made a Hot Toddy before, you already know how easy they are to make. And you probably already know exactly what you need, even for an elevated take on the Hot Toddy.
For a typical Hot Toddy, we are talking about lemon, water, and whiskey. Sometimes, the recipe even includes a bit of honey. So it just makes sense that the recipe has been transformed over the years.
Celebrate National Hot Toddy Day with the help of Fishers Island Lemonade
So how exactly can we whip up a Fishers Island Lemonade Hot Toddy? It’s actually just as easy as the classic recipe!
What you need:
- Half a can of Fishers Island Lemonade (this is their classic flavor)
- 3 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 ounce of Whiskey
What to do:
In a saucepan, simmer the Fishers Island Lemonade and sticks of cinnamon together. Pour into a mug and then top with the ounce of Whiskey.
They also recommend adding a garnish of a wedge of lemon and a cinnamon stick!
And if you are making a larger batch of Hot Toddy for more than one person, they recommend using a four pack of the Fishers Island Lemonade, three to four ounces of Whiskey and definitely more cinnamon sticks.
