Whether you call it a ‘rita or a marg, you can never go wrong with a delicious margarita. And on February 22, we celebrate all things related to this cocktail.

What makes February 22 so special? Because it is National Margarita Day of course! And that means whipping up one of our favorite drinks and kicking back with some chips and salsa (or guacamole and black bean dip!)

While we happen to like fruity margaritas, even over the classic ‘rita, if you want to bring the heat this National Margarita Day, then you may want to snag a bottle of Tanteo Jalapeno Tequila. We have had the opportunity to try Tanteo Tequila in the past, and every single time it has been an epic experience. And in honor of the ‘rita’s big day, we decided now is the perfect time to break out the Jalapeno Tequila and try something spicy.

So if you like a little heat with your margaritas, we have just the thing – the Tanteo Jalapeno Margarita!

Celebrate National Margarita Day with a spicy kick of Tanteo Jalapeno Tequila

Want to bring the heat at home? Here’s what you need to make a bit of spicy magic happen:

What you need:

  • 2 ounces of the Tanteo Jalapeno Tequila
  • 3/4 ounce of Agave nectar (This can be found in the sugar aisle, often near the honey.)
  • 1 ounce of fresh lime juice

What to do:

  1. In a shaker, add fresh ice and the agave, lime juice, and tequila.
  2. Salt the rim of your drinking glass (if preferred) and add fresh ice to the glass.
  3. Shake  your ingredients well before straining the mix over a glass of ice.
  4. Garnish the glass with either a wedge of lime or even a slice of jalapeno. (I prefer a wedge of lime for this one.)

And there you have the perfect sip for any spicy celebration.
