DEUX introduces new cinnamon roll cookie dough

DEUX started during the pandemic and now makes a bunch of flavors of their vegan and gluten-free cookie doughs. So far, they have chocolate chip, brownie batter, and birthday cake flavors, but their new one is based on everyone’s sweet breakfast favorite: the cinnamon roll!

The new cinnamon roll cookie dough includes a cinnamon swirl dough so you get that perfect cinnamon roll flavor and white chocolate chips so you don’t miss out on the best part of a cinnamon roll: the frosting!

There are two different ways you can enjoy these doughs. You can eat the cookie dough right out of the container. Since the dough is vegan, you don’t have to worry about the raw eggs that are usually in cookie dough. Salmonella is never fun!

But if “raw” cookie dough isn’t your thing, you can also scoop out the dough, form it into balls, flatten each ball on a cookie sheet, and then bake for 7-8 minutes at 350 degrees.

I had a chance to try a sample of the cinnamon roll enhanced cookie dough and it’s definitely filled with cinnamon flavor and the vegan white chocolate chips give you just the right amount of creaminess. If you like crispy cookies, you might want to just stick with eating the cookie dough as is because the baked cookies stay pretty chewy and soft.

If cinnamon rolls aren’t your thing (are you even human??), the brand has a bunch of other flavors including peanut butter, space brownie, and xtra chocolate chip. They also have a chocolate spread coming soon. It’s like that chocolate hazelnut spread everyone loves but it only has five ingredients. And according to the DEUX website, it also “supports mood and libido.”

Additionally, many of the ingredients in their various cookie doughs also help with “immune support, collagen support, stress relief, and protein.” What other cookie dough can say that??

You can purchase any of the DEUX flavors at Erewhon, Whole Foods, Alfred, or online at their website. Their 12-ounce jars are $15 each.
