Krispy Kreme has a donut for just about every celebration and that includes space missions. On Monday, Aug 29, 2022, Artemis I will launch. It’s an uncrewed flight test of the world’s most powerful rocket carrying a spacecraft that will fly around the moon and then farther than any other spacecraft built by humans has ever flown.

But what does this have to do with Krispy Kreme? Well, on that same day, Krispy Kreme is also launching a new donut. For one day only, the donut shop is introducing the Artemis Moon Doughnut.

The sweet treat is Cheesecake Kreme flavored and filled and then dipped in Cookies n’ Kreme icing with a swirl of cookie pieces. It could not sound more delicious.

The donut will go on sale on Aug 29 unless NASA delays the mission on Saturday, Aug 27. If they do that, the donut will be available whenever the new mission date is. Just check Krispy Kreme’s social media for updates.

But you can get more than just one of the new donuts. Krispy Kreme is also offering a deal where you can get six Artemis Moon Doughnuts and six classic Original Glazed Doughnuts all in one box. Yum!

You can share them with friends and family or keep them all for yourself. We certainly won’t judge. Just make sure you preorder before the big day.

Whether you get one donut or a dozen, you’ll need to get them on the day of the mission launch. After that, they won’t be available.

This isn’t the first time the donut shop has done a space-related treat. Last year, they did a Mars Doughnut to celebrate the safe landing of the Perseverance Rover on Mars.
