CookUnity could be your new favorite meal subscription box
There are a lot of different food subscription services nowadays but most still involve prepping ingredients, mixing things together, and cooking everything. That’s not the case with CookUnity, a chef collective that offers meals from a ton of different famous chefs.
Let’s talk about the food first. The menu consists of lots of meals and sides that represent the talent, culture, and background of more than 60 chefs. I got to sample a selection of what they offer and I can honestly say everything is ridiculously good. Like you would think chicken tenders are chicken tenders but no, they were also amazing.
But beyond chicken tenders, they also have truffle mac and cheese, Brazilian fish stew, Tuscan butter chicken, shrimp scampi, Mission-style chipotle chicken burrito, and so much more. And unlike some other subscription services, you get to pick the exact meals you want and they start at $10.49 each.
You also get to pick how many meals you want which ranges from 4-16 meals per week. You also get to choose which three proteins you want your meals to include or if you want them to be vegetarian or vegan.
CookUnity is a revenue-sharing meal delivery service with delicious food
Menus are also posted two weeks ahead of time so you have plenty of time to pick what you want. And a few days before your delivery, CookUnity will send you their recommendations based on what you’ve had before. You can go with those or choose your own.
You also can filter the meals by chef if you have a favorite or if you’re looking for a specific type of cuisine that they specialize in. And you’ll likely know some of the names like Jose Garces, Esther Choi, Anne Thorton, and Fabio Viviani.
Oh and one of the best parts? You just have to heat up the meals either in the oven or the microwave and it’s done. It’s so easy!
Everything also comes in sustainable packaging with recyclable components and is delivered in reusable, insulated bags or recyclable boxes. Can it get any better than that?
But CookUnity is more than just a meal delivery service. It also has a unique revenue-sharing business model for the chefs. They get just as much good out of this as the customers and that’s a big thing nowadays.
As for where they deliver, they serve 88% of the US population and cook in small batches in kitchens that are in 7 markets including NYC, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, and Miami. So they’ll likely be able to deliver to wherever you live.
