Tillamook is taking over the world of cheese
By Sandy C.
Look out, foodie world! Tillamook is taking over the world of cheese (and our taste buds), and it’s about damn time. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out immensely, but we’re here to point you in the right direction.
I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t discover Tillamook until I had the opportunity to interview the lovely Jenny Slate about her recent partnership with the brand to promote their campaign, Partnership for Creamier Ice Cream. Tillamook couldn’t believe I never tried their ice cream, so they sent some flavors my way via Instacart that same day. And let me just say…OMG. The flavors were truly so creamy and delicious, unlike anything I’ve had before.
As much as a foodie as I am, ice cream has never really been my go-to treat. I have always preferred salty snacks such as chips and dip. All this time, the problem was that I just wasn’t eating the right ice cream. I later learned that The brand also has yogurts, spreads, and cheese. Oh, the cheese! So much cheese! All of the cheese! Needless to say, Tillamook quickly became my favorite food brand.
Tillamook invited Guilty Eats to visit their creamery in Tillamook, Oregon — and you already know I wasn’t going to turn that down! I learned amazing things about the brand, and tried out all the cheese and got a full scoop and a half of Tillamook ice cream secrets (stay tuned).
Tillamook is taking over the world of cheese
The people at Tillamook can get really cheesy when it comes to cheese. Their passion for their products is strongly felt, and what’s better than a brand with a crew who genuinely love what they do? From their spread to the cheese, the brand cuts no corners. Every product is checked and then double checked for quality, from packaging to flavor.
While in Oregon, I learned that Tillamook started as a successful, but local, brand in parts of Oregon. They soon expanded to more states in the coast, becoming an exclusive brand in that side of the US. It wasn’t until several years, that the crew decided to go national. The journey isn’t over, though.
Their are so many brands of ice cream and cheese, and many states have a favorite already. Texas and Iowa, for example, are all about Blue Bunny Ice Cream. If this is you, you’re missing out! Now, Tillamook products may be a few dollars more than other brands, but for good reason. After all, you get what you pay for.
If your taste buds are seeking quality and flavor, Tillamook is your brand. It’s slowly becoming more and more popular in other states, so expect to see more products in grocery aisles, soon.
