Every year it feels like the various fast food chains use Halloween as a chance to introduce a new sandwich that has some kind of tie-in with the holiday. For example, last year Burger King Canada introduced the Franken Whopper, which I’m still heartbroken I didn’t get to try.

This year is no different, with every chain announcing some new idea or menu addition. It is rumored that McDonald’s is even bringing back their iconic Halloween Happy Meal plastic buckets for another round of spooky fun.

This Halloween it seems that Burger King isn’t going to let their Canadian customers have all the fun. According to the ghouls over at Chewboom, they are preparing to launch a new version of the Whopper that should fit in perfectly with Halloween.

The Ghost Pepper Whopper will be available at Burger King for a limited time.

Launching later this month just in time for Halloween is the brand new Ghost Pepper Whopper. Burger King is using ghost peppers as an excuse to spice up the Whopper and try to set fire to your taste buds at the same time.

The Ghost Pepper Whopper includes a flame-grilled beef patty topped with Ghost Pepper cheese as well as spicy queso sauce and crispy jalapenos. Add some bacon (because everything is better with bacon) and a pair of orange buns and you have a burger fit for the Great Pumpkin.

The new sandwich (which social media has already dubbed the Halloween Whopper) will be available at select Burger King locations beginning October 10 followed by a nationwide rollout on October 13. It will be available for a limited time so once the trick and treating is done, so are the Ghost Pepper Whoppers.
