McDonald’s has announced that the price of a cheeseburger will increase for the first time in 14 years blaming soaring costs and said other big price increases were on the horizon. Once again, a fast food chain has announced the release of a burger that is only available in another part of the world, in this case McDonald’s, and we here in the States just have to sit back and be envious.

It feels like a day doesn’t go by that we see on social media that another country is either bringing back or debuting a sandwich that would be a sure fire hit if available in the United States. France, Canada, Thailand, it doesn’t seem to matter anymore.

This time it happens to be McDonald’s in Australia that will be making fast foodies here trying to book a flight to try what they are calling the Cheesy Beef Burger. And from our point of view, it really looks like it would be worth the trip.

The Cheesy Beef Burger is only available in McDonald’s in Australia.

So what is a Cheesy Beef Burger and why should we all be incredibly jealous? It includes a beef patty that has been topped with a fried mozzarella patty as well as lettuce, tomato and mayo all on a toasted potato bun.

You read that right. Someone in Australia had the genius idea to put mozzarella sticks on a burger. It’s an idea that’s so simple, so obvious that we’re kind of embarrassed that no one here thought of it. You would think at least Burger King might have tried the idea.

But no. It took the fine folks in Australia to create a burger that would be a huge hit here in the States. And the real insult to injury? This isn’t the first time this has been available at McDonald’s in Australia. Which means we’ve known about this before and no one thought to bring it stateside.

Anyway, it is only available for a limited time so if you find yourself in Australia head to McDonald’s and give it a try. And tell them to bring it here as soon as possible.
