Nacho Fries have once again returned to Taco Bell

There are few things that will get a Taco Bell diehard more excited then the phrase “Nacho Fries are back!” The on the menu/off the menu side dish has become their version of the McRib and has developed just as fervent a cult following.

Earlier this year there were rumors that The Bell was thinking of making Nacho Fries a permanent menu item. The thinking was that it would better position the chain to compete with Burger King and McDonald’s, but unfortunately nothing ever came of those rumors.

So Nacho Fries continue to be added and then taken off the Taco Bell menu, albeit with far more frequency than before. And now it has been revealed that the popular item is again making a comeback and this time bringing a new sauce with it.

Nacho Fries are back at Taco Bell once again for a limited time.

Word is that as of this week Nacho Fries are once again available for purchase by the Taco Bell faithful. For those that need a refresher, Nacho Fries include golden fries that are seasoned with a Mexican seasoning and served with a side of warm nacho cheese sauce.

It’s the nacho cheese sauce that adds a new wrinkle to the return of Nacho Fries this time. Taco Bell is offering a new Vegan Nacho Sauce as well as the traditional nacho cheese sauce. The Vegan Nacho Cheese Sauce was first available as part of a test of a Vegan Crunchwrap and was a huge hit. It was only a matter of time before the new sauce was offered nationally.

Additionally, for the first time Nacho Fries are available in two different sizes. The standard size that sells for $2.19 and a new larger size that is perfect for sharing that will set you back $2.99.

Get you Nacho Fries while you can. As always they will only be available for a limited time but if you miss them no worries. They’ll probably be back before you know it.
