It would appear that if you like some heat when you have fast food, in particular Burger King, you are going to have to buy a plane ticket and head to another part of the world. Because the Home of the Whopper is saving the heat for places outside the United States.
First came word that Burger King is bringing back their popular Angry Whopper but instead of a nationwide release, it’s being tested in just the Ohio area. Is it in preparation for a larger Halloween promotion later in October? Who knows.
And now word has come to us that Burger King is adding some serious heat to their Chicken Nuggets, which many foodies would love to see. But unless you live in Canada, you won’t be able to even try them.
Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets will be available at Burger King for a limited time.
Burger King Canada has begun selling Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets. They include their tender chicken pieces that have been coated in a spicy ghost pepper breading and then fried until perfectly golden brown.
They are available in both 8-piece and 10-piece orders either a la carte or as part of a combo value meal that includes a side and a drink.
If that isn’t enough heat for you, Burger King is also offering a new Ghost Pepper Ranch Dipping Sauce. The new sauce has been infused with ghost pepper heat so when combined with the nuggets it’s sure to bring a few tears to your eyes.
Of course, this is all a moot point if you live in the United States. Much like their Ketchup Nuggets which took social media by storm, the new Ghost Pepper Chicken Nuggets are only available in Canada and only for a limited time.
I swear, it’s the Franken Whopper all over again.
