Krispy Kreme knows what Dads like: cute little doughnuts with adorable bowties
You didn’t think Krispy Kreme was going to sit Father’s Day out, did you? Absolutely not. And the chain has delivered big time, with the one thing Dads everywhere want: doughnuts wearing adorable little bowties.
While perhaps not as wild as, say, the recent Dolly Parton Collection, the Father’s Day collection from Krispy Kreme takes it easy just like Dad will want to this Father’s Day with two new doughnuts: Blue and White Drizzle; and Chocolate Iced Bowtie. The former is an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in white icing, then drizzled with chocolate and blue flavored icings. What “blue” tastes like is beyond me, but there you go. The latter is an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, with a blue bowtie, also made of icing. It will also, I’m sure, have that signature “blue” flavor.
You can of course get the doughnuts individually, or as a Father’s Day Assorted Dozen. In the 12-box, you get two Blue and White Drizzles, two Chocolate Iced Bowties, three Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, two Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and three Original Glazed.
Not only that, but as a Krispy Kreme rewards member, there are a few more deals you can snag in the app. The first is $0 delivery, which is pretty cheap. That’s no dollars at all! The second is a double dozen deal: get the Father’s Day Dozen, which at least at my local Krispy Kreme is $19.79, and you can get an Original Glazed dozen as well, for a total of $24.99. If you can’t do the math there – I know I really helped with the “$0 is no dollars” thing – that’s a little over $5 more for a dozen doughnuts. Not bad!
If you don’t want to commit to that many doughnuts, that’s fine: there’s a three-count Father’s Day box that includes both new varieties of doughnuts, and an Original Glazed. Or, while you’re at Krispy Kreme, why not try the new Doughnut Dots, which are lower commitments because they’re smaller?
However you tackle it, just let us know what flavor “blue” is. We’re guessing it tastes like “Supportive Fathers.”
