McDonald’s latest McFlurry? Kit Kat Banana Split
Every time McDonald’s adds a McFlurry flavor, it makes waves. Back in May, there was the Grandma McFlurry, with the distinct taste of “things in Grandma’s pocket.” And now the chain is about to launch one that makes a little more sense: the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry.
Per McDonald’s Menu Spotter page, the rumored treat was officially confirmed to be hitting stores on July 10, 2024 – though some McDonald’s fans are reporting you can get the dessert as early as today. A cursory glance at my local McDonald’s here in New York shows it hasn’t popped up yet (you can currently only get the M&M McFlurry or the Oreo McFlurry), so check your local Mickey Dees – or rather, check back tomorrow, for sure.
And what is the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry, other than a very fun phrase to say, you may ask? It’s vanilla soft serve, blended with Kit Kat pieces, strawberry clusters, and real bananas. It’s only available for a limited time, so break off a piece of that Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry ASAP.
The new McFlurry isn’t the only McDonald’s menu item hitting tomorrow, though. After two years away, the Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese, and the Smoky BLT Double Quarter Pounder will also be available starting on July 10. You’re probably familiar with a Quarter Pounder and can extrapolate from there, but in case not, it’s either one or two quarter pound patties, two slices of American cheese, three strips of bacon, three slices of tomato, shredded lettuce and “smoky BLT sauce” on the brand’s classic sesame seed bun.
As for the main event, the BLT sauce, it’s a combo of paprika, parsley, black pepper, and garlic, meant to invoke a smoky, tangy flavor. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but that’s the general idea!
So head to McDonald's tomorrow to snag yourself a Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry, and a Smoky BLT Quarter Pounder with Cheese, for a limited time. And heck, while you're there why not get some Jujutsu Kaisen Special Grade Garlic Sauce, while you're at it? You know you want to.
