The Best Snacks of 2023: Rebecca's Picks

2023 has come and gone, but there are some things we're keeping into 2024. One of those is our snacks and to honor 2023, I wanted to look back at some of my favorite snacks from 2023.

This is my list so feel free to disagree but these are some of my personal favorites and items I know I'll be carrying into 2024. For the most part, I'll be talking about snacks and food products, but might throw in some fast-food items, too.

Ultimately, everyone has a different idea of what snacks are but for the most part, I'm going to be focusing on some items I couldn't help but love in 2023. As long as they're not limited-edition, you're likely to find most of these at your local grocery store.

To begin things off, I wanted to give a nod to a recent favorite and that's the Goldfish Hello Kitty Strawberry Shortcake Flavored Grahams. These were so tasty and such a treat especially since my niece loved them. While these were definitely tasty, they were also incredibly sentimental as my niece couldn't stop eating them!

One snack that has stood the test of time is Rob's Backstage Popcorn. While this is heavily promoted by the Jonas Brothers, it's also a great product. With multiple different flavors to choose from, I can't get enough of this savory and sweet treat. My current favorite flavor is Priyanka's Mumbai Nights which is honestly such a bold and tasty flavor that you have to try in 2024.

Moving onto a sweet treat, I have to include a favorite from Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and last year, I took the Jet-Puffed Heart Marshmallows and dunked them in chocolate. They were so sweet yet so good and honestly, it ended up being a huge treat for me. If you haven't picked these up yet, they're as sweet as they are cute.

For those wanting something savory, my new obsession in 2023 was Delimex Taquitos. I first tried them ahead of the Super Bowl and LOVED them. I ended up going back and buying more and still have a box in the freezer. If you're a Taco Bell fan, these also mimic the rolled chicken tacos although the brand does have other offerings including Beef & Cheese, Chicken & Cheese and White Meat Chicken.

Moving onto some fast-food favorites, I got to try two new restaurants in 2023 and loved them which were Jimmy John's and Raising Cane's. Both lived up to the hype and getting to attend the opening of the Post Malone x Raising Cane's in Dallas was so special. Honestly, that was easily one of the highlights of 2023 and still remains a cherished memory along with the amazing chicken tenders I had.

Some other fast-food items I loved in 2023 were Taco Bell's Grilled Cheese Dipping Taco, the Havesies from Burger King, the Grimace Shake from McDonald's and Loaded Hash Browns from Dunkin'. Ultimately, 2023 was a great year to be a foodie and there were so many amazing products so I'm hopeful for 2024.
